On July 1st 2002, 3 months early, Jesse Lee Shedd arrived weighing in at 2 lbs. 7 oz. at Baylor Medical
in Garland, TX. The first child for Tina and Mike Shedd after 16 years of marriage. Born with a stage 4 Brain
Bleed Jesse's struggle begins. Jesse would call Baylor Medical's NICU home for the first 83 days of his life.
His first accomplishment was coming off a respirator and breathing on his own. Doctor's told Jesse's parents that he
would probably have disabilities of some sort as a result of the brain bleed. Blindness, retardation, autism,
cerebral palsy, any of these were a possibility and only time would tell.
Today, Jesse is 5 years old,
the big brother to Jacob (3years old), smart as a whip and can talk your ear off about anything and everything to do
with FARMS. Jesse also suffers from Cerebral Palsy and is unable to sit independently or walk. His mom, Tina,
devotes her all to her two boys shuffling Jesse to therapy appointments and researching new therapy advances out
there. The goal of Jesse's Journey is to help get him the therapy that he needs for the best chance of learning to sit
and eventually to walk on his own. Please help us to keep Jesse on his journey forward.
There
are several ways in which you can help:
· You can go to any Bank of America and you
can donate to Jesse Shedd's Contribution Fund it is set up as a Trust for Jesse's medical needs, it is not a personal account
and it only goes to Jesse it cannot be used for anyone else or anything else.
· To
watch Jesse in his journey you can go to www.jesseshedd.com
We would
like to thank you all for your consideration and your thoughtfulness for helping our son to have the opportunity to achieve
all God has planned for him whether it is to walk or just touch lives as he goes thru his journey. Bless You, Mike & Tina
